The Table

Everything game-shaped lives here. I run TTRPGs for hire, design tabletop and card games out of my own studio, and build video games when an idea won't fit on cardstock.

Some of these are services you can book. Some are projects you can play. The line between them keeps moving.

How the Game Brain Fits Together

Genre changes the verbs, stakes, and pace of a game. Horror constrains information. Cozy play shifts attention toward care and routine. Fantasy, science fiction, sports, and creature-taming change what players believe they can attempt. Those promises meet mechanics, form, simulation, physical constraints, worldbuilding, and player choice at play.

Overlapping game-design areas centered on play, with genre and form broken into their working parts.
Form, genre, and machinery Circle placement shows affinity across the current catalog. The set logic stays deliberately loose because every project pulls the shape in a different direction.

Hire the GM

20+ years running bloody, brutal, deeply satisfying TTRPGs. Grimdark, horror, fantasy, and the occasional cozy life sim. Voice or play-by-post. I run live-service worlds with seasonal content drops, persistent consequences, and campaigns built to last.

Persistent worlds. Long-form campaigns with seasonal storylines, custom progression loops, and battle passes for text-based play-by-post groups.

Grimdark & horror. If the table wants to feel something heavy, I have the tools and the patience.

Cozy life sims. The flip side. Long, quiet seasons, slice-of-life beats, no PCs need die for the story to land.

Book me at mightymeatshield.com. That's where rates, availability, and the booking form live.

Local to East Central Indiana? I also run in-person tables around Muncie.

Tabletop & Card Games

I design from the table out. Mechanics first, theme second, art last. In that order, on purpose. Some of it's table-ready, some is still in the math.

Cerealbox Games. The studio. Founder & creative director: vision, worlds, mechanics, brand. The catalog lives at cerealboxgames.itch.io.

Icosacron. A "studio of one" running seasonal content, balance patches, and a distinct house style.

Video Games & Software

Smaller-scale game work where code is the medium. I'm lead engineer of a custom TTRPG tech stack: Discord bots (Scribey, DiceBoy, CheckinBot), web-based character builders, the plumbing that makes a live-service PbP world actually run, plus games built on the side. Most of the titles below are still working names.

The AI, security, and research code lives on the portfolio page.
